Patient was brought into the ER with a longstanding hand infection that she had ignored. Unfortunately, her hand was filled with pus, and her little finger was no longer viable, and had to be amputated. The skin on the top of her hand had died, and was replaced with a skin substitute. Eventually she recovered and regained good use of her hand.
