This gentleman was using a chain saw to attempt to remove a tree that had fallen down on his property.  Instead, he almost removed his arm!  He was taken to the OR emergently, and everything was fixed, with a nice result :)

Patient was brought into the ER with a longstanding hand infection that she had ignored. Unfortunately, her hand was filled with pus, and her little finger was no longer viable, and had to be amputated. The skin on the top of her hand had died, and was replaced with a skin substitute. Eventually she recovered and regained good use of her hand.

Someone fell off a ladder, catching his middle finger on a sharp piece of metal that essentially turned the finger inside out, lacerating his digital nerve and flexor tendon, and causing a great amount of soft tissue contamination.  After a difficult surgery, and some therapy, he got a nice result.
